Kutaisi International University Tops Georgian Universities

The final results of the 2022 Unified National Examinations have become available. The data has already been published, according to which Kutaisi International University (KIU) tops the ranking. According to the information published by the National Assessment and Examination Center  the KIU is in the lead among 14 public universities and 53 authorized higher education institutions.

It is worth to mention that 93 out of 370 students enrolled at Kutaisi International University in 2022 received 100% state grants while 367 students enjoyed full or partial state grants.

Among the programs at Kutaisi International University, the computer science program was the most popular in 2022. It is also noteworthy that compared to the computer science program of all other institutions, the highest number of students with 100% state grant was enrolled in this KIU program.

As in previous years, students with the best results in the country and winners of various international and local competitions and subject Olympiads continue to study at KIU. Among University students there are gold and silver medalists, winners of national subject Olympiads, as well as the “M Vector” competition, participants of the Millennium Innovation Competition and other Olympiad winners .

KIU has admitted  its first round  of students for the 2020-2021 academic year for the English-language bachelor’s programs in management, mathematics and computer science. The University collaborates with Europe’s leading Technical University of Munich. KIU’s operating model and programs are developed in partnership with TUM and TUM International GmbH.

From 2022, the University runs a doctoral program and a master’s program “Financial and Information Management – FIM”.

Kutaisi International University (KIU) is located in Kutaisi, in an eco-friendly environment. The campus is located on 160 hectares of land and includes ultramodern  academic buildings, libraries, cafeterias, a well-equipped sports and road infrastructure, co-working spaces, student housing as well as housing for academic and administrative staff. The development and construction of KIU University City is progressing step by step. KIU is a public university funded by the International Charity Foundation Cartu. For Georgian citizens, tuition fees at the University are fully covered by the state educational grant.
